Wendy Red Star is a rising artist in contemporary Native American art world. Born and raised on the Crow Indian Reservation in south-central Montana, Red Star grew up engrossed in the lifestyle of her people. The focus of most of her work is the intersection between life on the Crow Reservation and in the off-reservation world. She considers herself a Crow (Apsaalooka) Indian cultural archivist speaking about her experiences in today's society.
